Citizens' Panel
As part of our new Involvement and Engagement Strategy we continue to work towards ways Residents can get involved in the decisions that impact you, your family, friends, and neighbours. We are developing our Citizens’ Panel and invite local residents to join us and play a key role in improving the lives of those working and living in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
What is the Citizens’ Panel?
The Citizens' Panel is a diverse group of residents who share their views and opinions on various decisions affecting our community. By joining the panel, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Influence Decision-Making: Provide valuable feedback that helps shape council policies and services.
- Stay Informed: Receive regular updates on important decisions and council initiatives within the local community.
- Engage with Your Community: Connect with fellow residents and participate in meaningful discussions.
What to expect?
As a Citizens’ Panel member, you will be regularly invited to take part in online engagement such as surveys and you may be invited to attend quarterly in-person meetings or focus groups . You can choose which activities you want to take part in and how often you are involved. Your anonymous feedback will be included in a report and shared with Councillors and senior managers. These key findings will guide the Council's decision-making process and help to improve the lives of those working and living in our county borough.
Why join?
- Make a Difference: Your input can lead to positive changes in our community.
- Be Heard: Ensure that your opinions are considered in the decision-making process.
- Learn and Grow: Gain understanding of local governance and develop new skills.
